Recently Enlightened have worked closely with Beacon Rise Primary schools Headmaster Mr Chris Thomas and Staff to update and revitalise their old school hall Audio Visual and Lighting equipment.

Beacon Rise Primary in Kingswood Bristol has a delightful period hall. The multi functional hall is the central hub of this vibrant school. In constant use the hall needs to transform seamlessly from morning assembly and dining hall to performance space and theatre.

It was important to the school that the pupils could be as engaged and hands on with the new equipment as possible and that flexibility of use allowed both teachers and pupils to broaden and enhance the ambition of their future projects and engagement with the equipment.

“We wanted to make sure that the experience of using the equipment was as exciting as the quality of sound and light it could produce”, said Joao-Paul Cavaco, Head of Sales and Business Development at Enlightened. “The iPad control interface we designed allowed us to bring all the technology together in one intuitive interface. It was important to us that the technology quickly became an everyday part of their creative education”.

Custom iPad Pro Control interface wirelessly connected to a Yamaha MTX Audio matrix processor with Yamaha EXIX1 expander (expanding the capabilities with more audio inputs)

Yamaha PX5 Amplifiers powering Martin Audio CDD12 installation grade speakers- these can be remotely orientated depending on the use of the room.

Apple TV connected with Denon Media player for playback.

Setup of four Sennheiser EW112 microphones, with ASA 1 antenna distribution system.

Lighting

Internally wired lighting bars (IWB’s) mounted to in all areas of the hall for flexibility.
